Now this is a clever piece. First it starts with one of those art concepts: put the last scene into the screen inside the current scene. This gimmick was used so often now ... yawn.

Then, in sync with the music repeating the first part, the structure off scenes is repeated as well, but this time with some characters getting out of their scenes and into the next ... and then a nice "Keystone Cops" chase unfolds. Still it neads a third run until the other characters actually react to this.

I love it. Notice the subtlely different drawing styles, the colour changing with each scene, the video noise being in sync with the music as well ...

The dircetor's homepage is http://sugimotokousuke.net/. Check out his works, the flash examples take some time to load but then play if you hover over them. I like his rough line, it doesn't get too clean and boring as it is often the case with this anime style.

It's fantastic! Wonderful!
My wish is to reach that level of ability with animation... With 50 years of learning!

Also saw this on cartoonbrew. Very cool.

I like how he synched a of sounds to action. The planning for this kind of blows for mind.
