Quick doodle in AS PRO 6

Post by Mikdog »

I tested out the drawing tools a bit today. This took me around ten minutes to draw with a laptop trackpad. Look, the drawing tools are better and you can select things easier. What I'm not happy about is the colour selector. When you have a palette open at least its easier to select the colour and have it represented on screen, but you don't see the change with the colour dialog box. The gradient is MUCH better, you have much more control over it and you see the change on screen. What I don't like is that when you select a shape you get that checkerbox effect on the shape so even when you're changin colour you don't get a good idea of what it will look like because your shape's filled with a checkerbox pattern. Also, when secelting gradient colours or colours from the proper colour square box, there's no colour picker to let you choose an existing colour on screen. You have to enter the colour's number in the text field if you want to be accurate. Unless I'm missing something.

Nice warm shadows.

Can't wait an affordable price (kwell ?!? I'm not rich) in order to upgrade this great software.

I'll still keep an eye on you ^_^

Yup , I must agree about the checkers, it doesn't help at all in the process of choosing a colour any context.
I actually a little dumbfounded by its implementation.
some marching ants might be more appropriate eh?

What I don't like is how when you click inside a shape with the select points tool, it selects every point in the shape. It makes it harder to select specific points in weird places or in shapes within shapes.
