Yo,
Just a little test for 2.5D in AS Pro.
Put a mask of a grey layer over the bush when its rising, then took the opacity down as it rises up.
Also the shadow helps a lot to anchor it to the ground.

I've always loved the paper-cut-out style in a 3D setting. Like PARAPPA THE RAPPER!

(note: used to be 3.5D. I am in no way attempting to fold space back in on itself.)

Well heya.
I came up with a NEW test. This time I made a 3D block character. I kind of like this. Check it out:

I drew the faces in Photoshop and drew the legs in AS, animated with bones, then turned them 90 degrees.

This stuff looks great! That last one reminds me of Sponge Bob.

you need 3D glasses... A 2D representation of a 3D representation of the fourth dimension... head starts to spin.

Ive posted a few items and am a noob and never get no feedback or comments...Im a little perturbed as even though im not a pro animator like a lot of talented souls on here it makes me feel disheartened that a forum made for animators haven't given me much encouragement or advice....I dont know why really..i have a good sense of humour.
Its not really animation...just stupid i guess...but if i can make people laugh thats all that matters to me

Most comedians are tough cookies. It's because they have to absorb a lot of negative criticism and still come out smiling. Some people here have expressed perfectly valid opinions about your work --you then try to characterise these people as 'numpties' or 'haters'. If that's all it takes for you to lose your sense of humour, you aren't interested in making people laugh -- you are just interested in hearing about how great you are.Clarence Norty wrote:if i can make people laugh thats all that matters to me
OK -- show us something great...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
