I'm evaluating Moho for MacOSX, because I want to create animations for a personal website and think MM Flash is a bit over-kill for such a job.
However, I seem to experience problems with the SWF files.
First, the animated examples in the tutorial I've tried so far won't play if I hit the play button in any of my webbrowsers (even Firefox 1.01). Is this normal?
Second, some of the SWF examples in the Moho tutorial directory and even the b/w SWF file I exported from the tutorial 1 example lead to "media errors" in QuickTime (the free version, not the unlocked Pro-version), while they run smoothly in a webbrowser. Is this suppose to happen? And if not, should I buy the Pro upgrade for QT to get rid of this annoying bug?

Update:
After some Googling and reading I found a solution to one of my problems. I've downloaded the latest standalone player from the Macromedia Flash Support Center on the Macromedia site. This seems to get rid of the QuickTime bug (simply via the Get Info menu of an arbitrary SWF file and tell OS X to use this SAplayer systemwide instead of QT).
Still, I'm a bit puzzled why QuickTime will not play certain SWF movies. Does anyone has an answer to that?

QuickTime only supports a subset of SWF features. Moho uses certain features of the SWF format that QuickTime does not support - that's why the QuickTime Player can't play back Moho's SWF files. I don't know if the SWF support will be updated in QuickTime 7...
About the Flash samples not playing: Unfortunately, yes, this is normal on the Mac. I don't remember the specifics, but something about browser plugins on the Mac doesn't work with the kind of scripting we used with the Play button. To play these sample animations, right-click (or Ctrl-click with a one-button mouse) on the animation to get a popup menu and select "Play".
