Make Crazy Guy disappear
Hi!
I am trying to make CrazyGuy disappear in through a door but I can't find any way to do this. I want him to gradually vanish in the doorway, but how?
Can anyone give me a hint? Thanks in advance!
Regards, Obben

Hello obben
Just go in timeline setting, turn on the layer opacity thingny, go the the frame where you want the character to start vanishing, make a keyframe in the timeline on the layer opacity node, double click the character top layer, set opacity to 100% if not already, then go to the frame where you want the character to be completelly vanished, make a keyframe on the timeline layer opacity node, double click the character top layer, set opacity to 0%.

Search the forum and do the tutorials.
There are quite a few masking topics on the forum that are quite informative and include sample files. Look in the "Tips and Techniques" area. At the top are two "sticky" topics. One has beginner tutorials that includes masking.
Another is one I wrote that is more "technical" and explains how masking works and what is actually going on from an "alpha channel" perspective.

Thanks! I haven't had time to work more on that test project, but soon...

I did something similar on my first animation. What I did was create two background layers on the same scene, and had my object emerge, as if emerging from a swamp. Here is what I did...
