I'm not finding what this setting is suppose to do. Anyone know?

It's 15 years later, but I wonder the same in 13.5.5. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't see anything angle-related in the timeline and can't find anything on it except for this thread when googling. Did you ever found out what this does?
