So annoying.
There is a member function to find the closest point of a mesh near a point but you can specify a point to ignore when doing the check. Unfortunately there is no such ability in the "find nearest bone" function for selecting a BONE near a point (mouse click) and ignoring another bone.
For instance I want to "turn off" certain bones so they can't ever be selected but there is no way to find the "next nearest" bone to a bone that is "turned off". ARRRRRGGHHHH!
This is a long shot but if anyone has a clue to get around this I would appreciate it. It requires some "thinking outside the box" I haven't been able to do yet.
