I have been using Switch layer to make my characters mouths move and for some unknown reason I can export my movie once and then the program crashes out saying there is a unknown error. all I can think is maybe there isn't enough memory allotted to the program but it continues to happen all the time now. Any Ideas as to why this would be? It is becoming really annoying and I cant figure this out. What I'm doing is importing an AI file although I'm using cs3 could this be the issue? the sound is kinda big, might this be the issue? I just don't know. Can someone help me.

Try exporting with out the sound.
Try exporting just a few frames instead of the whole animation.
Try exporting an image sequence instead of a move file.
Try exporting a "simple" animation from one of the sample files just to make sure AS is working properly.
Not enough info really to say why you are crashing. It could be a bad installation of QT or whatever video codec you are using. It could be related to the OS... it could be the dimensions of the AS file are too big for the ram on the machine... maybe you have bad ram? Do any other applications crash?
Lots of possibilities. Best to rule out AS first by testing different simpler projects.
