Importing audio

I am having difficulties importing audio, because whenever I try to import a file which is not part of the content that comes with Anime Studio, it tells me that "the selected audio file format is not supported". I would like to know, what exactly Anime Studio requires of the file (kbps, mono/stereo, sample rate or anything else which could influence Anime Studio's capability of importing the file). I have tried importing both mp3 and wav files.

I have also tried the recording function, and recorded the so called "What you hear", but when the sound has been recorded and I press "Add to Project" it asks me to save (which it doesn't in the demo videos I have seen), but I save, and it goes back to the recording menu, but no file has been saved, and no audio has been added to the project.

I hope someone can help...
