compiling error under linux, amd64: _lm.so

Hello,

i'm curious about the presence of the only-binary-version of the file: _lm.so and if this complies with the terms of the GPL.
Is there a possibility to substitute _lm.so by a »regular« linux package like libsndfile?

The error message:

A 64-bit version would work for me, but a source file of _lm.so would be a better choice..

I've created a new version of Papagayo that removes the dependency on the lm module. There currently isn't a binary version for Linux but it can be downloaded here:
