Making Mouths
So I noticed that none of the mouths provided help me out with the animation I'm working on because they don't exactly match. I wanted to make my own mouths so that maybe I could use the "lip-Sync" feature but I'm not exactly sure how to approach making the mouths so that they work. any tips & tricks?

this should really be in the 'how do i...?' forum but anyway
There are a few ways to do it ranging in difficulty.
1) The most basic/easy option is to create a switch layer an create a group of sublayers with mouth shapes in them. This doesn't allow for any cross-layer interpolation.
2) The next way is to create a mouth on one layer under a switch group, then duplicate that layer as many times as you need - that way every mouth is made of the same number/order of points so that interpolation can be turned on in the switch layer options
3) if you construct your face so the mouth can be manipulated into any shape as i describe here and here you can use stored actions to recall the mouths - or using the 2nd link technique (not attached to the face) you can put this mouth into a switch layer and use it as in (2) above. You can use Ramon's 'lipsync with actions' script to put the papagayo dat file instead of using switch layers.
4) once you get to grips with actions you can look into using Rudiger's MorphDials script to make (3) easier and more intuitive... i've made a few screencasts on this - follow the link in my signature.
as far as what shapes to make your mouths, download papagayo, and in one of the installed folders is photos of all the phenomes shapes you need to make lipsync - so choose one that suits your style and recreate each shape for your character using one of the options above...
good luck
