Preview problem

Post by rsandi »

Hi there
I have ASD. Im reading the user manual (Debut version), it says that I can COPY TO CLIPBOARD the preview, as you can see at the pag 17, but, in the real life, it doesnt.

Is it a manual mistake? or there is something wrong with my software?

Gracias!!

Is that like ADHD? LOL - sorry couldn't resist.

I have ASP and it does have an option on the 'save as' menu but have never used it. Just tried it now and was not able to paste it.

You could be right about this - and it may be worth posting in Bug Reports.

Hi there
I had that problem as well. However it turns out that this particular button is only available in the Pro-version. I worked my way around it succesfully by making a printscreen copy of my work and opened the copy in another application. Worked well.

The manual, to me, is written with the impression that the buying of the software has bought the Pro version. There really should be a Debut help manual and a Pro manual.

There is a section in the manual that shows what is only available in Debut(pages 360-367) but the tutorials do not take in consideration that the user might be using Debut.

The manual is in need of complete over haul IMO, some of the tutorials are asking to click or un-click boxs that have not been around since AS5.

It will take time for you to weed through the tutorials and learn what is Debut and what is Pro. My advice is to do exactly what you did and ask the forums.

Debut FU

Post by AnimeHere »

My manual specifically says it's Debut. But no copy to clipboarding will be happenning with THIS SW from file preview.

I'm going to try to copy each vector shape and paste that into 'My favorite paint editing program' and then paste it back and move it over the vector shape.

This is in theory, but I was up till 3 in the morning trying to get by this f_cking snag last night!

The [PrtScr] key is your friend.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Debut's false promises

And 'My favorite image editing program' has a nice feature to capture sceen contents. I'll try that, but the idea is that when you have multiple shapes available in file preview, they can be imported into 'My favorite image editing program' and the multiple shapes can be on their own layer while new fancier work is done on a layer over them, then that layer exported to a png file and re-imported into anime studio.

I'll try using this method, and see what happens. It's my fault for buying debut. I should have used the trial version first for a while, then I could just move on to something else and saved the money. :?
