Well there are advantages to sharing. Thanks to sharing Vern could help me solve the parent issue.Tagirijus wrote:Just amazing that people script things for free (even if it started just for your own usage or something like this maybe)... at least it's free for members... just very kind; thanks a lot, I appreciate this!
The collective mind is greater than the one.
Man, that sounds like communist propaganda...

It is not communism. It is open source software.

But a taper would go past the stroke when the limb is rotated. Is the taper meant to make a nicer overlapping line?
I guess it would work if you only had it on one side if that's the case but then you'd lose the ability to be able to rotate the limb in any direction.
Or have I completely misunderstood what you meant?

I took your script and made an arm and just moved the top point up on the fill and did some curvatures (showed in my image) and it worked GREAT. It works for both sides. The top point for the fills follow the curve of the line.ponysmasher wrote:But a taper would go past the stroke when the limb is rotated. Is the taper meant to make a nicer overlapping line?

I got the same message after I'd forgotten how to use the script properly You have to create a Bone Layer and a Vector layer then create two bones. Highlight the Vector layer before running the script.

Yeah, I've gotten that error too. I'm going to look into it but I have a lot of work to do right now. In the meantime you can try selecting another bone and running the script but then pressing cancel in the dialog. I think that sometimes works.
I'm also working on a tool version of the script that displays a preview of the limb on top of the actual bone in the work area since setting radius and line width in the preview window is kind of hard.
