Have you tried emailing the poster of the video? Have you tried importing one of the library characters (menu Windows->Library) that comes with AnimeStudio instead?
Youtube is convenient, but you're much better off with the tutorials bundled with AnimeStudio.
Also, there a lot LOTS of tutorials on this forum. Check out the Tips & Techniques subforum.
edit: Oops, gleeful's post just popped up under mine while I was editing. In any case, there are a lot of free resources available. No need to be "slumped".

It appears the character "pinhead" had been previously created and saved by the person making the tutorial. It would not be included in the version of Anime Studio that you are using.
There are other characters in the Library folder of your copy of Anime Studio. You could use any of these to complete the YouTube tutorial.
Better yet, the tutorials in the manual will help you create your own characters. The manual is accessible by clicking on the "Help" menu and then clicking on the word "Help" in the drop-down list that will appear.

there is a website, VTC training online, that has a 12 hour tutorial on anime studio 5. That is what I used to learn.
It is 30 bucks a month to access the site and they have tutorials for hundreds of programs.
I dont know if you are actually willing to sit through 12 hours of tutorials, but, I did it over the course of a week and it is paying off BIG time, I made my first animation yesterday and I was impressed with how well I was able to do it.

I just started here. I spent a good two weeks on my own before even creating an account on these forums. Five things I recommend to actually learning AnimeStudio:
1.) Go through the startup tutorial. The one that is prompted as soon as you launch AS. This will cover the basics.
2.) Refer to the manual. Click "help" in AS and then the "help" category which will open up the big azz manual for AS. Everything is divied up, very easy to read and equally easy to follow. I just learned about switch layers tonight all on my own thanks to the manual. And was able to compress my monstrous projects right quick.
3.) When all else fails THEN go to youtube. Because youtubers will confuse the hell out of you 1/2 the time.
They're assuming you know things that they take for granted. With that said, take what you see with a grain of salt. Try to watch the whole video as sometimes you get great little nuggets out of nowhere, completely unintentionally by the video maker, that will have nothing to do what you were originally looking for. I know it's difficult, especially with CartoonZack's tutorials... listening to that man stumble over his own friggin computer and blather on makes me want to hurt him. Badly. But he had a couple good things to learn amidst the 10 minutes of "Uh... where'd I put that file???" crap.
4.) The best way to learn is to do it.
Start making some crappy cartoon. It may not be the project you're WANTING to do. But in the process of making that crappy cartoon you will learn not only how the program functions but the actual layout of AS so you're not stumbling every 2 minutes looking for a button/function that you just used 5 minutes earlier.
5.) Use the search function in these forums. 1/2 the time you never find what you're looking for directly but you find a metric **** ton of other posts that reveal a veritable fount of insight on related topics. I've spent literally hours zipping from one thread to another from months and months ago that just kept turning up more and more information about topics I never thought to think about.
