animating layer visibility doesn't work within groups

Is it impossible to animate the layer visibility, when the layer is part of a group layer? and why is this so?
The timeline shows me the red invisibility mark, but I still can see the layer. when I move the layer outside the group, its visibility can be automated.

I actually have no problem with animating visibility with a layer which is inside a group. I think your problem is that when you have selected the layer which is disappearing it shows the layer even when it's invisible. Try selecting another layer and hit play, you will the layer visibility animated.

The reason because it's visible when you have selected the layer it is that it lets you edit the layer even when it's not visible on final render. And it's really useful.

You are welcome, don't worry. Just try to ask for a supposed bug on general section before post it on bugs section, this way the bug section keeps clean.
