I was messing around with Anime Studio trying to find out how to display all the channels. I found a workaround. It takes 30 seconds at max. It's repetitive, you gotta do this every time you start a file.
Here's what you do.
1. Go to Preferences and turn on Consolidate time line channels
2. Go to the time line and add a keyframe on frame 1
3. Turn off Consolidate time line Channels
4. (optional) Go to the sequencer and drag the start line to frame 2
VOILA!
Want The old timeline back? Here's a work around

Great tip, meltedtoons!
JCook, to display only channels of your choosing may I suggest a variation of this workaround?
1. Go to Preferences and turn on Consolidate time line channels
2. Go to Animation>Copy Current Frame
3. In pop-up window enter "1" at "Copy to frame," select your desired channels, click OK.
4. Turn off Consolidate time line Channels

Thanks! Your tip inspired me to do a workaround for the Rescale Keyframes bug.
