Hi new here with 2 dumb questions

Hi all

Just started using AS Pro 5.6, had it for a while and not played before.

I have two possibly dumb questions, firstly can't export to AVI, the option simply isn't there, I'm using a Mac running Snow Leopard, do I need a codec or something before the option appears?

Secondly, this might sort out the above too, any recommendations on video editing software for a Mac? cheap and cheerful will do.

- The default video format on Mac is Quicktime. Use it, and you'll enjoy it. AVI codecs must be bought separately.

- iMovie is good enough for a start. Later FinalCut Express will do the job.

I did use Quicktime and tried to open it with IMovie but it wouldn't let me, must be doing something wrong when importing... however it plays fine in Quicktime Player.

Will check out FinalCut Express.
