.png sequence to a video file avi, mov, mpg

Post by drdemoman »

Hello,

Anyone know of some free progs that will allow me to convert a sequence of .png files from moho to a video file. I have edited and played around with the frames in photoshop.

Thanks,

You didn't mention what platform you are on, but I've successfully done this on linux with mjpegtools. Check out: mjpeg.sourceforge.net

If you want to do this on windows, I've heard success stories of people using cygwin (www.cygwin.com) to run mjpegtools.

If you're on mac, I suspect that since it's UNIX based, mjpeg should work, but I'm not sure what would be involved.

A bit of Google searching finds ImageToAVI and Targa sequencer (which creates Quicktime movies). I haven't personally tried either one.

Quicktime Pro will convert image sequences to Quicktime movies, as will some video editors.
