First Rough Draft of my animated short (Part 1)

Post by GraphicAnime »

Hi.
Here is the complete rough draft the animated short, based on the Villikon Chronicles project. http://www.villikonchronicles.com The second part will come later, after I created the rest of the characters.

This is a first draft that, which will be part of a DEMO to be shown at my Artist Alley table at the NY AnimeFest (Javits Center) next week. ^_^

I placed some of my collection of music I composed in Reason as filler background sound.

The Animation of the characters in the cave and the ship was done in Anime Studio Pro. The rest of the post production was done in AfterEffects and Premiere Pro.

Wow I completely forgot about the Anime Convention. If I go I'll definitely stop by to say hi.

Incidentally I like your character designs but a black background against black soldiers is very hard to read.

I agree. That's why I try to use as much Green Haze as possible without overdoing. From looking at the other 2D animations like Metalocalypse (band's henchmen), I think the 2D vector character stands out more with detailed backgrounds. I also try to make use of the grey outlines, outlining the armor.

This the first animation that I've completed with AS Pro(still learning to use the software), from what I learned I need to go back and redo a couple of things.

------ My table number is AA11

Cheers,

hey I checked out your website and I gotta say its sweet.
But I did work with HTML, CSS, PHP and web design for a while now. And I've got some tips for you....

1. When I first entered your site it was too dark. Gives the site a "in professional" or a website that was made really quickly.

2. The intro was awesome just the fact make it a it more interesting, Great graphics by the way

3. The website's Home page is too crowded with ads, banners, pictures. That's when I exited the website.

I am not insulting you in any was I am telling you tips to make your website improve for a better and a larger audience.

*Not saying the you have a small audience, I do not know if you get a billion hits or a million hits or none.

Best regards.
Eric

www.villikonchronicles.com is the writer's web site. I cannot say for sure what other plans they have for the site.

I understand completely what you are saying. I have also designed web sites and developed.

My actual web sites are on my signature below.

But to let you know, I'm still trying to find more time to fix these web sites.
www.graphicanime.com is the oldest site that I have had. I managed to put a prettier splash page to link all the latest latest stuff that I have done.

www.designertek.com is meant to showcase professional works, such as job related project and education/design/technology research.

Thanks,
