Need help updating my script for 6

Hiya,

I modified this script a while ago to get a line width adjustment 'magnet' with a visual falloff adjustment. Works fine in 5.6 but in 6 it's started throwing up errors. Since I'm not overly familiar with the changes in LUA (I was barely able to cobble together the changes I wanted!) would someone be kind enough to explain to me what's going wrong?
