Hi, I was working with a project where the same character is present in several AS files and this idea just came.
Here is my request, a script which could import the animation from a duplicated character, but as an action of current character. I mean, both characters are the same, but they are on different files and have different movements, but the same construction.
Is that possible? that would be fantastic to re use pre made animation without having to replace the character.
Import character animation as an action of another

I know I shouldn't insist, but I think it's a very nice idea
Right now I have two files which have exactly the same character: on one the character has a cycle of jumpings and on the other it has a walking cycle.
I need to have a scene where the character be jumping 4 seconds, stop and then start walking. To get it right now I must have the jumping movement as one independent layer and the walking movement as another independent layer. Then play with turning off\on visibility and move the bones to simulate there is just one character moving, which is very tedious and annoying.
If there would be a way to import the walk animation as an action of the jumping character, it would be a piece of cake. Imagine the possibilities!
well, sorry for take this topic back, but I think it could be big
