2 new films online

Post by slowtiger »

"Paraplü" and "Wall" are both in the Going Underground contest, which means they will be shown on screens in all of Berlin's subway cars during the entire next week.

The website just went online, and one of my films can be watched already. The other one will follow the next days, I guess. Have a look at http://www.goingunderground.de/wettbewerb.html.

You can also vote for your favourite film, click "Abstimmen". Right now there is a bug in their scripts, my browser crashed three times when I tried to open that voting page. Hopefully they will repair this soon.

I made Paraplü in 2008 over the course of several months, with long breaks inbetween. But Wall was started on July 25th and finished on August 20th (officially), and I did another project at the same time (more about that on Sept 15th). You will easily spot the 3 scenes I did in AS for it.

Interesting animation. Just when I'd given up all hope of it making sense the tag comes in and makes me laugh.

Aslo, loved it.

Walks reminded me of how Obelix walks ha ha.

Too cool. Clearly lots of planning which I think really makes a world of difference.

Awesome. Look forward to seeing the next one!

Great characters btw. I guess you could make a whole bunch of shorts with them. Like, the Wombles of Wombledon or something. Also remind me slightly of Lemmings, a game I used to dig.

FINALLY! I've been looking at the website nearly everyday since the first post trying to catch a day that "The Wall" would be playing, and today was that day! Great work slow! Again love the look of everything, especially the watercolor background.

Paraplü reminded me of those old adventure game puzzles that had to be solved in a certain sequence. I got the general idea of the short pretty quickly so I felt the middle part should've been shorter, but the ending was sudden and made me laugh.
