I have a picture of a book closed and open. Is there a way in Anime Studio to animate the closed book opening? Thanks.

Yes, there is!
Either press the "open-book button" or find some reference material on youtube of books opening and figure out how it works. In option two I think the easiest way would be two different vector layer point animations. First from closed to page side facing you, and the second from page facing you to open. Use a switch-layer to change between the two.
