Intro for upcoming short film --YOU ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE.

Post by basshole »

Yeah, I said it. . .you answered my questions, helped me solve problems, so you are all responsible for this. Too late to apologize to the universe or distance yourselves from it now. You will even be thanked (possibly even individually. . .I don't care, I'm a credit whore. . .I'll thank anything)

Against my better judgment, I post it. Try to enjoy.

Looks like a very funny idea. I looked at your animation test on YouTube as well and it looks very good!

Uh... are you blaming us or thanking us? ;)

I haven't decided yet whether I should be horrified or just laugh. ;) The story was told so fast you hardly have time to react to it as you watch. About a minute after watching the entire thing the "stream" of ideas caught up to my brain and sunk in. Sort of like particles in a particle layer catching up to the source. It's like taking off a bandaide or removing duct tape... you want to do it FAST so it doesn't hurt as much. ;)

Crazy wild idea. I'm trying to show my appreciation and compliment you with out actually endorsing this type of racially charged humor. ;) For example I didn't have time to decide which was more offensive... the Ninjews or the teen tiny Japanese couple.

p.s. If we are responsible in some way... I would like to know if that would hold up in court? ;)

Well, I like the controversial, stuff, so we'll agree to disagree. The thanking/blaming stuff was a joke, sort of, since someone on here was critical of something posted before. I want to thank you all for enabling me.

Don't worry Basshole... my post was meant to be funny as well. I can appreciate controversial humor! ;) You see things like this on SNL all the time.

Historically, ninjas did not use katanas.

Good plan!

Will you be changing it to a shuriken?

Who knows. That would make for some interesting ideas. Maybe the grandfather just got the Katana from a samurai, or whoever uses them, you know, like as a birthday gift. and by his sheer ninjaness imbued it with his power.

A much easier solution would be to have the voice actor come back and call it a "ninja sword".

Anyway, I thought ninjas were entirely made up in the first place?

I just re-watched your cartoon. Good news: the sword you drew is not a katana after all! Katanas are longer and have curved blades for slashing.

You drew a ninjato, which is the proper sword for a ninja. :D

The bad news, I guess, is that you called it the wrong name in your movie.

Pff. Ninjas probably cultivated that rumor so they wouldn't have to pay taxes.

Here's a brief article on why ninjas used the ninjato:

WEll, maybe I can count on the public's ignorance to save me. Here's the deal folks, if you think about it too much, it all falls apart. Maybe I'll call it a REnaissance festival knockoff sword.

Holy smoke, you're right.

Now I'm wondering why the baby didn't get superpowers.

Maybe he does. . .maybe he comes back and battles them later 'cause he one of those people angry that they were circumcised. They're out there, you know.

By the way. . .any word on that cycling bug in v6? I wanted to do the rest in 6 'cause of the sequencer (I did that in 5.6) but I like cycling, so I'm kinda stuck.

Still waiting for a mini-update to fix the cycling bug.

Here's the thread about it:
