Channels - viewing them

Post by kettricken »

Hi there, I have just bought Anime Studio Debut, and this is my first time using animation software of any kind. I'm loving it so far, but I've got to their Tutorial 1.5 for Bone Animation, and it says that having moved a character's bones about in a certain keyframe, I should be able to see multiple channels showing vertical/lateral movement and rotation. To quote,

"In the timeline, you should see a group of keyframes at frame 24. These
keys represent bone movement (the spine bone moving up and down)
and bone rotation (the bending legs)."

My problem is that I can only see one channel - I've scrolled down the timeline pane, but there's nothing else there.

Can anyone help/ tell me where I'm going wrong? I'd be really grateful.

Cheers,

Verify that you haven't the "Consolidate timeline channels" option enabled.

I read somewhere on forum that AS debut has channels consolidated as default.
