Stomp the Pedal

Post by cableon »

Hi guys,

Here is YeaBig + KidStatic's official "STOMP THE PEDAL" music video :

Image

Quicktime (strongly advised) | Youtube | Myspace

As with "Des Héros" in 2008, it was made using Anime Studio Pro's regular image layer feature (no vector layers this time).

Thought you might want to know. Haven't been around very much lately, but still grateful for your support anyway!

Talk soon,

Ronald

The tablet was actually an old, second-hand Wacom 15X (incredible eBay deal) that I do not use anymore...
(replaced it with an excellent Cintiq 12X after "Des Héros", although "Stomp the pedal" didn't require any pen tablet. I otherwise rather use the Cintiq for comics & illustrations coloring)

As far as I'm concerned, it's a 5-star rate.
The only "cons" I could think of concern the unavoidable separate video cable, which I would wish to see replaced by a single USB cable -- but I am probably not the best person to give objective or technical advice on such issues.
All I can say is it is just great -- light, handy, comfortable, etc. That's all!

The point for me isn't so much that it's "easier" or not, unfortunately ;) ...
Drawing everything by hand was a true choice and a real pleasure -- a whole lot more than on a computer actually (believe me I tried with separate layers), even though I did use ASP to sequence the images.
Things might be different again for another movie though -- having used ASP's bone layers on "Des Héros", I merely felt the urge of going back to a more direct approach this time... again, nothing very objective here I'm afraid.
