Ok here's a little something regarding Durands bitey comment.
Durand is Australian and it's a cultural requirement here to show a little sarcasm and cheekiness, it's how we bond

It's not meant to offend, but it is meant to challenge as are some of the other Aussie's remarks which might seem a little rough.
What he means to say (I think) is maybe be a little more reserved with the postings, please.
No one I'm sure, wants snakey to give up or go away. In fact quite the opposite, go for it, but perhaps try to put a little more in to the experiments and hold off till you have something that is really going somewhere, or has raised a problem or interesting question and if you have a flame to throw, then make it entertaining for pities sake.
On the other hand you could just keep posting everything that pops out the back of your trousers ad infinitum.

That last comment may have shown some of that Aussie larrikin colour that I mentioned earlier...... enjoy .... and keep your humour.
You might consider thinking...fair enough I deserved that.
