Coping points

Post by Sage »

Ok I am not sure if this can be done, it may be something with a script.

Is it possible to select points at any keyframe, and then copy it to a new layer at frame 0 and have it in the real place that it was in the keyframe?

What I am trying to do is save myself from haveing to write down all the points for say a head when I do a front view and then a side. If I just could grab the 45 and copy and paste those points would make my life a lot easier.

You can always duplicate a whole layer, that's what the little icon with the + sign is for, on top of the layers palette.

Or select any shape (or multiple shapes), copy it, and paste it into a new layer of the same type. AS will paste it into the very same place.

I don't think I made myself clear.

Basically if you draw something on frame 5 can you make that drawing at frame 5, to frame 0?

Just copy the keys at frame 5 to frame 0.

thanks that did it, never thought of trying that with the keyframe marks. Kept trying with the points, what would just reset everything.

This works good, saves me hours.

Yep. I've done that before too. Drawn something on like, frame 3 or something and wanted it to appear on frame 0. Just copy ALL the keyframes back to frame 0
