Eric character

Post by GCharb »

Hello all

Took a little break and had some fun drawing one of my favorite cartoon character, Erik, from the Digata Defenders series. Still needs tons of work but I thought I'd share it.

oh i forgot since u r quite an experienced 3d animator and Anime Studio support .obt files so you can easily model a low poly mechanical arm and export it in Anime Studio for much better result hope that will help u animating it

Hello realsnake

Yeah, I was thinking wings3d for obj import, will wait to see if v6 will have better 2d shader before I dig into AS .obj support, if not, might go for softimage xsi 2d shading for 3d objects, would also be better for animating props in 3d, like a truck rolling down the road or even more complex props rendering. XSI uses mentalray 2d shader, which is quite effective.

The result would be composited in combustion with alpha.

Oh, and I love Ben10 cartoons as well, those are hand drawn as far as I know, hard to reproduce in AS, nice work! :)

Nice sword too, what did you use for modeling texturing?
