Layoffs -- a how-to guide for soul-less corporations

My first stab at animation using Anime Studio Pro (or any animation program). A short comedy about layoffs.

Cool. I'm sure most people won't relate to it ... but I do because I am unemployed. Joy!

Love the bit about the health insurance. But one can't talk about *that.* Especially if you live in America. It's against the rules. :x

I don't know if you had a fun time making the animation but it really shows through that you did. I really enjoy animations that have "soul." :)

thanks -- it was fun to make, though it certainly took a lot of painstaking work too...especially creating the characters in a way that they'd animate smoothly

Nice work. :D Writing, voice-acting, and pacing were all good. I really liked the noodle-arms. Character design was good given the simplistic drawing style you used.

Comedic timing could perhaps have been improved a bit, but I know you were deliberately going for a very sedately-paced style reminiscent of a promotional video. Art and surface also could have been better, but it wasn't a deal-breaker at all.

areyouguystwins: You're kidding, right? In this economy? I give us a month before unemployment goes mainstream.

Cool, thanks much.

Yeah, I tried to keep the characters (and, well, everything) pretty simple. I wanted to concentrate on the writing and the comedy and such, rather than go for flashy animation.

Thanks, Chucky (delayed reaction, I realize). I'm actually making this into web series. Should have the first of the new episodes up online in a couple days.
