First Test Animation

Its very basic and I know there is some problems with the anatomy- for example the charcaters lft hand doesn't look quite right...

But I did this as a test for myself to see if I could do something really basic and ipload it to youtube.

What do you think?

Well, his left hand is in fact a right hand. Imagine his head swivelled round 180 deg., so we would be looking at the back of his head, Then it would look a lot better...
Also, as he tilts the glass, the liquid does not level off! So, a couple of glaring errors, but you can't start making omelettes without breaking eggs!
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

I agree about the drink and also the hand...

Do you have any suggestions how to make it look better? It kinda looks fuzzy to me...

Good start. Keep going :)

I've recently discovered it's so much easier for me to draw my characters out on paper first, scan them in, import the image to AS as an image layer and then trace over the image on a vector layer.

Edit: oops, sorry you were talking about compression! Don't they recommend rendering at 640x480 or has that changed since Youtube went widescreen!?

Yeah I actually scanned a photo of my basic character drawing and traced over- it seemed like the easiest way to do it...

But i was referrign to the compression- for example there are parts of it where the camera zooms in and its really fuzzy - any reason for this?

I really wanct to achieve a look whre there is no fuzzyness- like this animation- Marin- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uUIip8JAFXg

Is there a way around this?
