greykid any news?

Post by ingie01 »

I thought at one time greykid was going to publish a book on how they use Anime Studio. Anyone else aware of this, and where I could find it?

It's been discussed.
It's a question that should be addressed to Greykid.

I for one would a how-to book produced by them.

I hate to say this guys but the book has been put on hold indefinitely. We may well publish an 'art of' book but that's about it. It will just consume too much time and energy that, right now, is required on developing projects and the business.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, especially at Christmas.

Have you guys thought of teaming up with someone to work on the book? Instead of doing it all yourselves you could possibly team up with a "ghost writer" to do all the grunt work. You guys supply your techniques and someone else puts it together. You could "split" the "profits".

No offense big guy, but I couldn't trust anyone else to do a good job - at the moment that is - I haven't met anyone who I feel could do the company and the book justice. Remember our name is on it so it has to pass my OCD standards!

Not closed to the idea though, but it would have to be someone who understands animation completely and who is very competent at it - those kind of people are usually very busy. Like us!

Anyway new site will be live in the new year so you guys can see what we've been upto in the past 12 months. I promise you'll have kittens!!!

GK - or is it FK?

Just wanted to let you know, the new site goes live imminently - just tweaking a couple of things then we're ready.

You guys will be the first to hear of its live date.

Yes, a rebirth if you will. Reverting back to our former name after a partnership has dissolved.

Its bigger, its better!

Well...I hope I'm not mentioning anything that wasn't intended to be released officially yet but here it goes:

Freakish Kid seems to be the new name of Greykid Pictures. Freakish Kid also appears to be the animation arm of The Buro Ltd.

The URL is http://www.the-buro.com/

Once there, click on "Select Category" on the right side, and you'll be brought to a whole range of new Freakish Kid goodness as well as other projects that The Buro LTD are working on.

As it stands right now, if you try to go to Freakishkid.com, a click on the logo will launch your e-mail client to send a message. Hopefully, that will change soon!

The work shown at The Buro's website is all incredibly beautiful and truly inspiring stuff. Oh, and be sure to check out Cluckie The Vampire Chicken...
