About onionskin in tutorials ?

Hey,

I an a new user of anime studio 5 (basic version)

And i was working on a short movie in which i am using 20 different files for a frame by frame show. I've tried using the tutorials about them that come with the install. It shows the timeline with an unionlayer option, and some other options as well.

Is it due to my non professional version that i cant use these options, or is the tutorial a lil old ?

Non the less, i'd like to know how to make a short frame by frame animation. with or without an online tutorial
