My first complex animation with AS WIP

Post by super8mm »

To do list:
Add shine to her eyes.
I already made a switch for her right forearm, now I need to draw art for the punch forearm.
Maybe add some bone dynamics in her boobs for a bit of jiggle.
Make her legs look less noodlely.
Need to add a back layer for the skin under her arm pit.
I need to find a way to freeze the bones to make the feet stay in one place.
I need to find a way to change the body image for a torso rotate during the punch, I have no idea how to pull that off since the body has a dozen bones and one image from head to toe except for her arms and hair.

Hey that's not bad. Like you said it still needs some work, but nice bit of action.

If you fix the legs (feet are sliding around) and the line width (too thin for my taste), your animation is already better than what I have to endure on TV.

Remember to work economically. Don't waste precious time into boob wiggling for a scene which is only 2 seconds long.

Thanks!

Now off to the "how do I..." department.

Might want to fix the hair to look less rotating, other wise I'm quite please with my first animation using ASP.

That's amazing. But I wonder how much time you spent on this single scene, and how long a whole film would take...

I've learned much recently, every mistake I've done will teach me to not repeat in the future speeding up the process. I love how once you have the art and the skeleton and layers made you just manipulate the bones et voila near instant results. One mistake I did is where I needed to make a switch layer to switch the torso angle pose for the punch swing.

I drew the two different poses
Made a copy of the bone layer for the body skeleton
Made a switch layer
Change the art on the copy switch
Animated the bones for each layer

What I should have done was:

Draw one pose
Animated the bones
Made a copy of the bone layer for the body skeleton
Made a switch layer
Change the art on the copy switch
Adjust the bones copy to the new art

The first way meant that I had to animate both bone copies, the second way the bone layer copy would duplicate the bone animation and I would just have to do minor adjustments instead.
