Grocery Recon

Post by spoooze! »

It's been a few months but we actually have something new :D

Here it is, Grocery Recon the Season 2 finale of my web series: The Average Joe Show!

In this episode, Joe and his 2 friends (voiced by me, Brad Ramsey, Ethan Kern, and Daniel Pike) go Grocery Shopping... RAINBOW SIX STYLE!

If you're a video game fan I'm sure you'll catch references to several (yes, we play too many video games).

Enjoy!

I intially didn't like the style, but the comedy soon surpassed that. I liked the bit about the 6 pt wingdings.

It's so bad, that it's good.

lol thanks.

I'm actually working on taking my toons in a different direction style-wise and they hopefully will be more visually interesting.

You know, story-wise, you have improved considerably over the years, James. Of course, the imagery could be better, but the story is funny and actually has some depth. It isn't as predictable as it used to be.

And what I meant is that it contains a lot of bad acting, which is quite common in Hollywood movies nowadays. I guess the days of innovation in the motion picture industry are long gone. The only thing you can do is to mock it, and put it to the extreme. That is what you have done, IMHO.

Perhaps you could even create a spoof on Star Wars some day. The best movie was the second (part 5, "The Empire Strikes Back"). After that, it has gone all downhill, along with the rest of what comes from Hollywood. They just don't know what ordinary people do in their daily lives, because they-themselves are so far distanced from it in their own bubble of the entertainment industry.

Therefore: it is so bad, it is good. Normal people don't act like that, but Hollywood actors probably do.
