What allows you to fill a space?
I have a group of lines of varying width split into three sections (it's bag of money) and only the knot is filled in white. The two other sections are welded completely and I am on that layer when I try to fill them. The fill color is set to white and whenever I try to fill in an area all the outline points light up but no fill is shown. Is this a glitch or am I doing something horribly wrong?
I'm a newbie too, and I've had quite a few shape filling problems. I figured them all out so far. Maybe if you could post the anme file for the shape myself or other members might be able to take a look at it and see what's going on.
Here it is. Also, I can't see it when I am not on the layer(edit: fixed) and when I drag the layer out of the folder the shape becomes just points (don't matter anymore). Do I have to make it a group or something? (Obsolete)
I normally avoid any welding because I've experienced more trouble with that when I want to change things. Instead I stack several shapes and turn off some outline segments. Your left shape looks like it could as well be composed of two individual closed shapes on top of each other.
also for future reference, when the fill isn't selecting the right points, just use the create shape button next to the fill button and select all the points in the shape until it fills it in with the red shading, and hit the space bar.
