Deleted bones gives its binding points to its parent

Post by Genete »

It is something I have discovered and I don't now if it is useful or not. But here it is:

If you have a group of points binded to an specific bone then if you delete the bone and it had a parent bone, then the binded points now are binded to the parent of the deleted bone.
Maybe it is useful if you accidentally delete a bone ant don't take care about that, then you don't loose the information of the binded points as well as that information is given to its parent.
If the deleted bone have not parent then the points goes to the default state.

It is like some kind of inverse inheritance.

8) Thanks Genete,
might be useful to know for 'passing on' binding to other bones - i'm guessing you can re-parent the bone you are about to delete with whichever bone you want to inherit the binding before deleting it... :)
