Simple 4 bone 3D head turn part2

Post by DK »

Here is the latest results of the simple 3D head turning technique I have developed based on muuvist discovery. The great thing is it's not hard to do!!!!

Next i will be adding Nose, ears, blinking, Mouth switch layer, expressions etc etc. If anyone is interested in learning how to do this please let me know and I will make up a tutorial.

Cheers

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

This is what you will be making.

Right now I have not added a nose or ears as I am still working on this problem. As soon as i have managed to figure it out i will update the tutorial.

Enjoy.

NEWS FLASH!!
I have just made a neat discovery! For those who are following this development I have made a new adjustment to the bone structure that makes rotating the head even better!!
I will upload an update soon!

Hi! I'm very excited about this development.
There are still only 4 bones controlling this model!
The new bone setup allows the head to achieve even greater flexibility in it's rotations. It can be rotated in any direction now without any unwanted plane distortions to the vectors Also the new bone setup allows a perfect rotation that minimalizes any distortion and it is a model that is extremely solid to work with!

Thoughts?
