Good Free Option to Burn Video to DVD?

Anyone aware of any good free options to burn my finished video to DVD to make it a playable/loopable DVD? My aging computer at home doesn't have a firmware update to 16x DVD and won't work. The PC's at work can burn BUT I installed the Premiere demo and every time it runs it crashes the system with a memory error. :/

I have to submit this thing tomorrow morning so I don't really have time to download and try dozens of things that might or might not work -any know of one they personally used that can burn a 'perfect' DVD (going to be showing these at the Queen Mary on Wednesday to fellow students and some industry people who were invited -for my stunning work

)

Not exactly free, but highly recommended by Leo Laport (the Tech Guy, the Screen Savers, etc.) is DVD authoring software by ULead (60 USD):

Update: Thanks. That seems to be the first thing that went easy. I downloaded, installed it and burned the DVD in about 20 minutes all together.

Sweet, buttery biscuits -- Bad Rash comes in swinging again!!

This app is awesome! I recently bought a new "Media PC" and didn't even think about the Firewire capabilities until I read Rasheed's post. My wife and I have 5 years of analog (Daughter) tape that we've been wanting to convert to DVDs -- this is brainless and PERFECT.

I really can't take any credit for this, because I only passed on the knowledge I got from listening to KFI The Tech Guy on Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm (time shifted, though, because I listen to it in a podcast) on KFI 640 AM Radio.

So does this software in combo with firewire allow transfer of analog tape to digital with any other gizmo?

I still have to use my Sony analog to digital converter I bought years ago.

Wish I could say for certain, Vern. I have a whopping total of 2 minutes learning time with the s/w. That's all it took for me to understand what I needed - if that's any encouragement.

If your gizmo has Firewire (or maybe even USB) output, this may be able to recognize it.

If you haven't already, download the trial.

Does anybody remember exactly what app Rasheed mentioned? The link doesn't work anymore and going to the "Products" page doesn't really help.

This app worked great with my old(?) digital tape vid camera with the Firewire output. I could plug it into my Media HP (that I got at "Sam's" but the DVD writer crapped out the day after the 6-month warranty) and download & immediately burn to DVD.

I just don't remember which Ulead app it was.

DVD Movie Factory 6 Plus? (the link seems to suggest that).
