There is a weird behavior already commented in this forum with the position and size of the windows of Anime Studio that are not remembered by the program between sessions.
I have found a hidden file what holds the user settings included the position and size of the windows. For any reason the position of the main window and the timeline window is not remembered properly by AS.
For linux the hidden file is: .Anime Studio Pro.users.settings (in linux hidden files begin with a dot)
So once you have a proper size and position of the windows you can save in a text file the proper lines. Later if you resize the windows (for any reason) and want to setup the widows properly and for any other future session, just copy those lines to the mentioned file and AS will place the windows in the right position.
I found the hidden file (I'm on osx), and I tried to change the settings and saved it but when I open AS it change back by it self, it seems that if I launch AS and rearrange the windows and then quit this settings will be saved in the hidden file, but when I launch AS next time, AS will change the settings back in the file??? weird...I even tried to lock the file with the right settings but it didn't matter.
Have you managed to get the right window positions in you AS copy? and if so, how did you do it?
hey, genete, i was thinking about something similar (maybe), but i didn't know how and where to post it.
sorry, but i found your discover and i think that maybe you could give me an answer. ok, here it goes: is there some way to change the tools window? i'm not referring to reorder or asign commands to the tools. i mean, can i, for example, change the tools organization from vertical to horizontal?
AS groups the tools in rows of four, i was thinking if i could group them in rows of 20 or any number... i'm looking for the best use of my monitor space and it would be a good way to get it.
I have modified manually the coordinates of the windows positions and after that AS modify the windows position.
But the behavior for the main windows is rare. The coordinates of "MohoWnd_location" is refered to the internal window (excluded the window title). In my Ubuntu linux the window title is 25 so any value I have under 25 for the y coordinate makes the main window putted at the top corner.
I have not tested it in windows or Mac. Please play with the file and show us the results. It MUST be documented in next version!!!!

thanks
Unfortunately "ToolWnd_shape" variable don't exists in the mentioned file....
Mmmm... Not it don't respond to this variable. Bad luck.
Another feature request.
Bye!
Yes, I hate this window behaviour too. When I put my G5 to sleep while Moho is not the active program, window positions get lost (after waking all windows are crammed together like on a 12" screen), when I put it to sleep while Moho is in focus and visible, they stay where I put them.
But other programs show the same behavior, Photoshop being a prominent example.
