This is my National History Day project for this year on the theme of "Triumph and Tragedy". It is a documentary on The Atomic Bombings of Japan. I animated most in Anime Studio, and the two explosions were done in
Mirage. It is much better than my 2005 entry.

Fine!
You are showing how one can use animation to tell something valuable to know. Of course using animation to make something funny can be good but one has to understand that the ones trying to hide their crimes against their own population and other populations do want us to use animation only to tell fun things - not trying to say something serious - we can benefit from - missfitting the ones trying to mislead us.
There is more to say about the history behind the atomic bomb - as I can understand from history it is the ones trying to mislead us with their money system that we have to blame - get rid of - for being able to live in truth, love and peace. Se my Chit-Chat:

I hope many more will try to use AS for some good stories trying to start a discussion about our future on our earth. Man has learnt so many things - now having so much knowledge - we have to use that knowledge for everyones best. Looking around you can see knowledge not used to everyones best - the atomic bomb just being an example - a really bad one - but there are so many more. Let us try everyone of us to figure out - animate on - how our knowledge can be used for our best - showing also how knowledge can be used in bad ways.
Sure - this is not easy... but let us have a try...

sacrejacques,
Excellent job on a tough subject. It is hard to tell that part of the world's history with out having to deal with the complex issues from that time in our history.
In my opinion I think your approach was good. You didn't take sides nor did you sugar coat the devastation. It came across as historical unbiased journalism. I especially appreciate the upbeat conclusion. Not that it excuses the destruction or makes it less. It does however put it into some perspective on the ability of people to survive and rise above even the most horrific tragedies.
You took on a really tough topic and I think it was done in a tasteful manner that you should be proud of.
p.s. I wasn't too sure about the upbeat music... but I'll let that slide.
