If any of you scripting geniuses can pull this off it'd be a huge help.
With my new "compound bone" technique I often need to move several bones that are right on top of each other. rotation is easy I just select them all and change the rotation.
For some reason you can't translate multiple selected bones.
This would be only on frame 0 for my needs.

Translate multiple bones at the same time?

You can create a new bone (root bone) for all the children bones, traslate it and then unlink the child from the parent after. When you move the root bone all its children will move also.
To link child bone to its new parent you should select it by its name if it is behind another just the same size and position bone. After move them to other position it is easy to unlink them.

Holy cow!
You mean if I unlink them they stay put? they stay at the new position from the parent bone? For some reason I kept thinking if I unlinked them later they would "snap" back... I am losing my mind.
Good grief... I am so stupid not to have tried that... hold on...
I just checked to make sure
. It worked. Not only that I can select the whole batch at once and parent them to a new bone then just parent them back when I'm done. So cool.
For a "bone master" I am such a "bone head".

It happened to me in opposite direction. I mean, I link the bones at frame 0, but for some reason I want to "relative move" the root bone from its children. But when I do that "Ooops the child move also" so I have to unlink, move and re link...
By the way, The copy / paste bone tool works very bad for me. Sometimes works very well but some times copy the bones in different places or sizes, specially between diferent layers. I thought it was a problem of the bones were linked between them (I always copy a complete chain) but if they are all root bones occurs the same.
Which version of copy/paste/bones do you have? It happen to you the same?
If it does not happen to you, could you please post your version?
Thanks

The copy/paste bones scripts I use works great for me.
I zipped them up for you. Two scripts go into the menu folder in the scripts folder.

Thnks Vern. This version works pretty well. I had the RC2 so was working bad continously. And yes copy the constrains make AS/Moho to crash.
