I never thought about this before but, I rendered my imported image by mistake before I turned off the layer for it. Then as I rendered the drawing beside it I could see how well I was doing. As they sat side by side I could use the rendered image as a guide to where shading and shadows fit. Maybe that's old hat to you pros out there but I just realized the value of the render box in a new way.

Yes, I hope to do a take off of Star Trek using the audio from a skit I heard on a radio program. It's going to be a spoof animation. I'm working on my story board to match the script. That was my first installment. Sulu, called Zulu in the skit and Spock is called, Crock. It's a very funny episode, even without the animation. It will be a challenge. 12 minutes worth all together.
