i was thinking to play with some videos in this way. for example, take an arm video with some fingers movements or rotate in x movements. apply chroma to it.
take a head video and make the same. take the legs, the body, etc.
and make a bone with all this inside.
then you could have something like a cut out animation but with videos instead pictures.
sorry my english is worse than my idea. i hope you understand.

"chroma key," it is a technique for superimposing one video image onto another. Widely used to place an interesting scene behind people such as a news reporter on TV, it is also used for creating special effects such as floating a car on the ocean.dekka wrote:hi guys, what do you mean by aply chroma to it.
i don't understand that. can somebody explain it
thank you
The Blue or Green Screen
The foreground image is shot in front of a backdrop, which is a single, solid color, typically blue or green. When both images are combined, the background pixel takes precedence wherever a pixel of the solid color is found in the foreground image. If the foreground image is a person and the backdrop is blue, no articles of blue clothing can be worn or the background image will bleed through in those locations.

So you're saying you can rig a video clip (even one that's been chroma keyed)? Wow. That is kinda cool.dreeko13 wrote:i imported a clip that had been chroma keyed to remove the background

actually, you can make in moho an animation with alpha, exporting to quicktime codec or with huffyuv codec.
then you just import this animation to your new project (if it is avi, you must to chose "avi with alpha" in layer properties).
you can take any other video and with a software as after effects you can give alpha to it, generally using chroma. then export the video to quicktime millions of colors+ (or similar) and just import the video to moho/AS.
there is, transparency. now you just must to have fun with bones.

I was facinated by the idea of using bones with a movie and spent hours trying to import an alpha background movie from FinalCut Express. I finally found the answer. As was mentioned above the millions of colors+ is the key as well as exporting the movie as animation before rendering the green screen effect.
I also found that if I export a movie with millions of colors+ from Poser 6 AS imports it as alpha. Below is the Anime file with bones in the young girl, along side a cartoon nurse from Poser 6. The nurse was animated entirely as a movie in Poser. The facial expressions of the girl figure is all that was animated in her movie. The arm and body movements are animated with bones in AS.
It's pretty crude but I'll let Heyvern fix the bones for us. He's the bone Guru. heyvern, I loved your talking bone Lips. Someday, I hope to get bone manipulation down as well. Someday
Here's the Anime file. Make sure all stays in the folder or the movie characters won't import. Do a file open from AS and navigate inside the folder for the BonesMOVIE.Anime file.
