RIG your RIG series

Post by mtbuck24 »

Hey Animators!

I have a new rigging series that I am doing LIVE every Saturday at 11am (MDT) called RIG your RIG.

It pretty much goes like this...

1. You submit your rig with questions/ challenges
2. We RIG your RIG, live
3. We see how many questions we can answer in one hour

This thread is where I will be uploading all of the clips from the live streams on the new YouTube Channel McCoy Buck LIVE.

You can also watch the entire live stream playbacks HERE

Hope to see you or your rig in the next live stream

In this clip of Episode 2 of RIG your RIG we break down a very common question many users have when animating in Moho.

"How do I make a tongue appear both inside and outside of the mouth?"

Here is how we break this down:

1. Create the mouth as two separate layers - front mouth and back of mouth
2. Create a tongue shape layer as two shapes instead of one
3. Create a reference for the tongue layer. Move one layer above the mouth, and one inside of the mouth
4. For extra control, use a curver

In this clip of Episode 2 of RIG your RIG the question was asked

"How to have two rigs interact and hold hands?"

Here is how we break this down:

1. Ensure both rigs are in the same bone group
2. Make each rig's hand follow a target
3. Make the targets follow a single parent
4. Animate the inbetweens as needed
