This was super helpful! Thank you!Greenlaw wrote: ↑Wed Jan 07, 2026 10:40 pm Rename your current Custom Content folder; for now, call it Moho 14 OLD. Make an empty folder next to it and call it Moho 14. Then make a second folder at the same level and call it Moho 14 Custom.
When you launch Moho, it will ask you to Choose a content folder. Instead of choosing the renamed folder, choose the folder called Moho 14. Moho will install new content for it, and it will become your 'default' custom content folder. DO NOT CHANGE THIS FOLDER. This will be a backup folder which you can use to test how Moho should work without modification.
Now, from the Help Menu, select Choose Custom Content Folder..., and choose the folder Moho 14 Custom. This will become your new Custom Content Folder, and it will be the folder you will actually customize. (You can actually call this folder anything, so long as it's different from the backup's name.)
Move the scripts in small batches from the OLD folder to your new Custom folder, and run Moho to test them. To speed up the process, you can use the hotkeys Ctrl+Shift+Alt+L to load the new scripts instead of relaunching Moho each time you update the folder. (Don't forget any relevant resource files.)
Once you've updated your new Custom Content Folder and all custom scripts appear to work without issue, you can delete the OLD folder if you like.
I like to keep my content folders organized like this...
The folders designated LGD (for Little Green Dog) are my custom folders, and the rest are my unmodified backups.
Tips: I would save adding the MYND scripts for last, as they are very old tools that haven't been updated in a while. If any tools are incompatible with Moho 14.4, it could be one of them.
I would also reorganize the custom Tools Window Groups. For example, Mult Rush's MR_Guides is not part of the MYND tools, so it doesn't make sense to place it in the MYND Group. The MYND custom groups appear because the file _tool_list.txt is present in the Scripts>Tool folder. Remove this file and make your own Groups. You can make your own custom Tools Window Group layout using Tool Layout in Preferences. Here's how the Tools Window Groups look on my computer after I customized it...
You can also edit the _tools_list.txt using a text editor. This can make it easier to make big changes to the groups at once. But I suggest using Tool Layout first to establish the correct format.
(I'll make a tutorial on this topic; it seems to come up often.)
Good luck!
