Here are a bunch of feature requests I have, I will explain them too!
- AVIF Support
This is not really too important, but it would be cool to be able to work with AVIF images in Moho cause I have to convert them to PNG otherwise
- Change codec for MP4 export
Not really too important. The codec Moho uses for MP4 exports seems to be strange because exports do not play in discord. My current solution is running the MP4 through Handbrake.
- Upgrade the reparenting feature
Right now, reparenting bones during the animation creates keyframes which can be difficult to work with because it makes it difficult to go back and change it because of the offset. Not sure how this would exactly be fixed
- Scaling bones in both X and Y
Currently the system for scaling bones is that pin bones scale uniformly on X and Y and regular bones scale parallel to their direction. It would be nice if we could also scale bones lengthwise. The only drawback is that it could break "squash and stretch scaling".
- Fix cropped images using meshes
There's an issue where images that use a deform mesh lose their cropping. This is a little frustrating because it makes it hard to work with spritesheets.
- Span Bones
It would be lovely if we could have a bone that always spans between two points. Currently, the closest we have is IK stretching. However, this has a limit to stretching unless you use a high number and it cannot compress the bone.
- Camera Object
It would be interesting if the camera was changed to an object within Moho. It could then be transformed and even bound to bones. It would also be really useful to be able to have multiple cameras and choose one in the export dialog.
- Bone Colour Visibility
It would be very useful to be able to toggle visibility of bones by colour to make it easier to work with certain groups of bones!
- Background pattern
It is nice that we can change the colour of the viewport background. However, I would ideally like a checkerboard background similar to something like photoshop. Perhaps we could use any tiling pattern as a background?
- Default render directory
Currently, the location of exported animations is the same location as the file. It would be useful to be able to optionally change the behaviour to be at a set location such as a "Video Renders" folder!
- Scaling keyframes in the motion graph
This is probably an unintended glitch. Usually you can scale multiple keyframes by holding ALT and dragging keyframes to proportionally scale them. This does not work in the motion graph.
- Shader effects
Currently we have a few effects such as "blur", "noise", "threshold" etc within the layer settings. I would love an effects tab for more of these animated effects such as Fisheye, Chromatic Aberration, Hue Shift and Greyscale.
- Layer Tinting
It would be kinda like colorize layer but it tints the layer instead of being a block colour
- Motion Blur Absolute or Relative position
Currently the position of a motion blur is based off of the absolute position of the layer. It would be nice if it could also work relatively so that the motion of its parent layer(s) does not affect the motion blur.
- Dump Keyframes to Action
It would be amazing if we had something in the Animation tab to create an action and dump all keyframes from the selected layers into an action. It would make it way easier than manually doing it.
- Noise Keyframe Seed
When you have multiple layers using the noise keyframe, they all share the same motion which can be frustrating if you want a true sense of randomness. I would like to suggest having the default behaviour be setting a random seed for each layer and then if you want them to move uniformly, you can give them all the same seed. The seed could be entered using the keyframe options menu!

If you scale the bone to 1% on frame one, set the IK stretching to 10,000%, and target it to another bone, it will compress and only stretch to 100%. You can also increase the IK stretch more to go further that 100%.

Thats what i currently do. I would love to see it be natively supported though

If it's the frame one keyframe, you can copy that to frame zero and delete it on frame one... baking it into the setup frame.
But I'm all for it becoming a more explicit feature.

Codec for AVI export would be nice. Would love to see the Lagarith codec for export. Editing an exported MP4 in your video editor just further degrades the video when exporting it again.
