Moho Physical Purchase

Post by J. Baker »

When you purchase Moho, it says "key card"? You no longer get a physical disc? If so, what's the point of a physical version? Man I miss the days of physical copies. :(

Looking to upgrade from version 13.5 soon.

I think the physical copy is offered mainly to satisfy any company whose accountants require a physical product for their books. Pretty old-fashioned, but I'm sure a few still exist.

Re: Physical disc: Any CD/DVD that came in a box would probably be obsolete because of software updates (Moho 14 is up to version 14.3 now.)

Personally, I don't have the space for physical boxes, so I don't miss them. Plus, I like being able to download-and-go.

However, I get where you're coming from: I still have my box for Adobe Illustrator 1.0, and have to admit I'm pretty proud of it. :)

Yeah, key cards are just the serial number (and the box displayed in the box art), no disc. You are free to make your own physical backup if you want.

Yeah, I still have my copy of Anime Studio 9 in box and it's just nice to know that I can go and install it without having to redownload it. I have lots of software/games/music/movies on CD/DVD/Blu ray. Always liked the disc art too. It's just kind of cool.
