In most vector-based programs there are 2 main tools used for creating shapes and lines: the Pen Tool and the Anchor Tool.
The Pen tool draws shapes. The Anchor tool alters their points.
Moho has separated these 2 tools into 4 - 5 different tools and I'm not sure why. Selecting, Transforming and Adding points have all been moved into their own unique tools: Select Points, Transform Points, and Add Points.
Affinity Designer, as an example, has an incredibly intuitive, user-friendly Node Tool (example attached) which allows you to do all 3 of these things and more, with a single hotkey. Can someone explain the UI/UX rationale behind these distinct tools in Moho?
This is truly a worse experience solely because of these tools being separated. I'm swapping to different tools and in menus way too often. I just want to make things.

P.S. as an aside, I also wish there was complete key-binding freedom in the hotkeys. Some require specific modifiers. I'm assuming there're code related reasons for this.
UPDATE: The Mr. Curve tool by eugenebabich effectively solves all my woes of creating lines inside Moho, except that it can't select points, but a dedicated transform points tool isn't so bad. If you're running into the same problem, you can download the script here: https://mohoscripts.com/script/mr-curve-tool

Re: Please Change This!!
I guess I've been using Moho for too long. But I find the shape editing tools superior to anything else out there. I agree that some tools might be consolidated, but since it is very easy to temporarily switch Your current tool by holding the shortcut key for the other tool, I find it very easy to quickly build shapes. Usually I have the transform tool active. When I need to select a single point I click on it. If I need to lasso / marquee select I hold CMD / CTRL and drag. If I temporarily need the curvature or width tool I hold down the corresponding key and then release it to return to the transform tool.
Having the ability to create a wireframe structure and build various, visible shapes on top is unique and IMO superior to any other vector based tool. I know it might seem to be a tad slower, but in reality I never felt it held me back. On the contrary, this way i can build intersecting / overlapping structures with selectively visible outlines that would be a pita to create anywhere else.

You can be on Transform Point tool, and can still select points by just holding control. However, you need to switch to Add Point tool or using shortcut (A) to add a point. To my opinion, Moho have done a good decision to separate these tools into each individual because it make the interface look simple and easy to use, especially when it comes to working with context menu of each tool.
