Hey there ! I'm new to 2d animation and I'm looking to get started in a relatively affordable and had a few questions about getting started with 2d rigging.
So I have two computers to use a MacBook pro m3 pro chip 36gb
And a Windows laptop Nvidia GeForce rtx 4070 8gb GPU 7840hs CPU and 64gb of ram
I'm hoping either of these machines would be sufficient for working with moho in 2d rigged animation and rendering out the final result ?
At the moment 400 for pro isn't going to work ( until there is a sale ) but I could grab moho debut to start out. Is debut worth learning on or will the workflow be so different in pro it's a waste of time ?
Would it be realistic to make a short 2d cartoon style animation in moho debut with body and head eye mouth movement while learning until I upgrade to pro or is it so limited it's not worth it ?
A few questions on work flow
Would it be fine to draw in something like clip studio paint and export (what file type? ) to import into moho ?
I appreciate any advice !

That Macbook should be fine.
It should be OK to start with Debut, you only may get frustrated when here in the forum we discuss Pro features a lot, but don't get jealous. You will need some time to get accustomed to drawing and rigging in Moho, I just checked, Debut has limited Smart Bone features too, so for learning the basics it's more than OK.
(I did complete films (and jobs for clients) in Moho for years long before Smart Bones and all that fancy stuff, so yes, it's completely feasable.)

If the Mac would work the windows machine should be just as viable id think then ? So I should be ok with either machine ?
Re: New to moho few questions and hardware inquiry
I don't know shit about windows machines, so I didn't answer that.

That makes sense lol. At least I know the Mac will work. What kind of specs does the Mac mini you're using have?

I know I have a mac and having the ram maxed out really mattered. My computer guy adjusted it and it stopped the program from crashing.

Thx for asking, updated and corrected my profile: Mac mini M2 pro. It's more than fast enough for me.
